Cyclotour du Léman: A season finale around Lac Léman

Just seven days to go until the Lake Geneva region once again becomes a meeting point for cycling enthusiasts from Switzerland, France and beyond. On Sunday, 18 October 2026, the 23rd edition of the Cyclotour du Léman will bring riders together around the lake. More than 2,000 participants from Switzerland and around 400 from France have already signed up. They all share one thing: a passion for cycling.

For the first time, the Cyclotour du Léman takes place in autumn, making it a fitting end to the cycling season for many participants. Under the motto “NO RACE. JUST PACE.”, the focus is not on finishing times or rankings, but on the shared experience: riding together, meeting people along the way and enjoying the spectacular scenery around the lake.

176 kilometres around Lac Léman

Places are still available for the 176-kilometre loop starting and finishing in Lausanne. A few spots also remain for the 112-kilometre route from Évian to Lausanne. Anyone looking to wrap up the cycling season with one last ride can register online until Friday, 16 October 2026. Last-minute participants can also register on-site on Saturday, 17 October, at the Event Village on Place de la Navigation in Lausanne, subject to availability.

The 64-kilometre route from Lausanne to Évian is already sold out.

Supported by the local community

The Cyclotour du Léman is made possible with the support of numerous local clubs, cycling communities and volunteers. They play an important role along the route, including welcoming and supporting participants at the refreshment stops. Among those involved are Tête de Course in Lausanne and Evian Off Course on the French side of the lake.

The event also has deep local roots behind the scenes. Mathilde Jean, who is from the region, is responsible for organising this year’s edition. In doing so, she follows in the footsteps of her father, Christian Jean, who organised and helped shape the Cyclotour du Léman for around 20 years.

“I’m very happy to continue the story of the Cyclotour du Léman while bringing fresh ideas to the event. With ‘NO RACE. JUST PACE.’, we want to strengthen the sense of community even further. It’s about the joy of cycling, the people you meet along the way and sharing a great day around the lake,” says Mathilde Jean.

Whether on a bike, helping at a refreshment stop or cheering from the roadside, the Cyclotour du Léman looks forward to welcoming familiar and new faces along the route on 18 October.
